Imagine reading a story with one particular sentence, paragraph, or plot that inspires you and makes you feel warm and fuzzy.
Reading a story might even change your life.
A story might make you rethink a current problem. I am sure even watching a movie or television show with emotional themes can change your life, and makes you think twice about a trivial matter you were worried about.
Stories makes you feel things.
Stories can inspire emotions and bring out the best in you.
Stories can remind you that reflecting on deeper issues gives you perspective.
Stories can make you appreciate having an easier life than others; or a more difficult life than others.
Relating to characters in a story can lead you to a the realisation that your life is not as challenging as those characters. You might have it easier than the characters in the story; hence gain a deeper appreciation of your own life.
Without emotion in life, what is left? Robotic actions that cause you to move through life automatically without the joys and resilience of emotion.
Allow a story to immerse you into its wondrous journey of hope, love, challenges, and resolution. Most stories will have a problem solved in the end, and you can look forward to helping a character along the journey.

Heart-Warming Quotes or Story Passages
(Three Seconds to Rush, Danielle Stewart) “You see I pride myself on helping anyone and everyone I can. I will give you what I have to give, and I will protect you. I will slap you upside your head when you are being a fool. It’s my job, and I take it very seriously.”
(The Shoemaker’s Wife by Adriana Trigiani) “What was he like? Mama cries when I ask her. I remember a lot about him, but I wonder what I would think of him now that I’m older.”
“He was a decent man. But he loved to have fun. He was ambitious, but not to the extreme. I liked him because he was a true Italian.
My Own Heart-Warming novels – The Italian Family Series
Here are a few heart-warming teasers from my own books in this series:
A New Life –“Povera ragazza,” the woman said in Italian. She sat by Valeria’s side for a few minutes, then stood up and walked away. Valeria found she couldn’t speak. She felt weightless and detached from her surroundings. Everything around her looked blurry and faded, but she felt a sense of pure love inside her. Was this what it felt like to be dead? If this was what heaven was like, then it wasn’t too bad.
The Beauty of Tears – Giovanni patted him on the leg. “I’m happy that you’ll be finishing your education. You’ll make me proud, Roberto. I know you will.” The joy in his son’s eyes warmed Giovanni’s heart. He grabbed Roberto’s hand and they headed back to the family. Yes, he thought. It was all going to be okay. He felt it.
Dancing In The Rain – Her mother and Carla washed some face towels and pressed them onto her hands, chest, and face. Valeria felt tears sting her eyes as the warm water intensified the pain. “I am so sorry, darling,” her mother said. “He shouldn’t have done this to you.”
A Life By Design – Was it even possible to love someone so much, yet feel scared of losing them? She was lost in her imagination all over again. Why was she thinking the worst, even in the midst of something so blissful?
